This website is dedicated to the idea that working as a hypnosis professional is a business opportunity. Most people who work in our profession are not employees of a hypnosis center, or clinic of some kind, although those opportunities do exist. I know this for a fact, because I have employed several hypnotists at the Banyan Hypnosis Center for Training & Services, Inc.

No matter what title you use, "Hypnotherapist", "Hypnotist" or "Consulting Hypnotist", they all mean the same thing in regard to being a hypnosis professional whose income comes from the application of hypnotic techniques to help others and getting paid for helping others in this way. The more you think of your hypnosis practice as a business, the more successful your practice will be.

I Am a Hypnopreneur and Maybe You Should be, Too

I am a "Hypnopreneur®"! I am a businessman who works to help others open new hypnosis offices, and at the same time, I work to consistently grow my hypnosis business. I am very entrepreneurial in my approach to my practice of hypnotism. If you are not as successful as you would like to be in your practice of hypnotism, maybe should should be a Hypnopreneur, as well!

Genesis of the Term "Hypnopreneur®"

When I came up with the word "Hypnopreneur®" as a way to describe mysef and what I do, I took the following factors into account in the adoption of that terminology.

1. I am a hypnosis professional, usually called a Hypnotherapist, Hypnotist or Consulting Hypnotist.
2. As a successful hypnosis professional, I am either in the process of building, maintaining or growing a hypnosis business. A hypnosis business is also called a hypnosis practice.
3. This hypnosis business may be in a physical professional building, office in the home, or conducted "virtually" through the telephone or Internet. My practice is in a professional building.

With this in mind, I constructed the title of Hypnopreneur® which stems from two "root" words, "hypnotist" and "entrepreneur".

The term "hypnotist" indicates that this business requires the skills of a competent hypnotist and "entrepreneur" indicates the business building aspect of what I do.

The term "entrepreneur" comes from the French language and describes a person who builds businesses, including creating a business model, getting resources and being responsible for the success or failure of the business. More can be learned at, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entrepreneurship.
